It was fairly nice outside today with temperatures in the mid 60's. We skipped playgroup b/c Addi is recovering from an illness and we did not want to share the love to others (especially 2 prego Moms in our group). So, we loaded up in the double stroller and walked to our neighborhood park. We were the only ones there so Addi had the playground all to herself. It did not take Ethan long to figure out that he was the only one strapped in the stroller while everyone else was out and about! I forgot the backpack carrier so I could only carry him around for so long (remember he is close to 27 pounds). We ended staying at the park for about 45 minutes and then strolled through the neighborhood looking at everyone's flowers. I always love to get new ideas for my yard! It was so nice to get fresh air after being inside for so long.

Cupcake bowl
My Mom would be so proud of this picture. I was making cupcakes for a shower today and I gave Addi the bowl afterwards. She had so much fun, and as you can tell from the spoon scrapes in the bowl, she wanted to make sure she ate every last bit! My sister and I used to fight over the yellow cake mix bowls and spoons. I would get so frustrated at my Mom if she spooned all of the mixture into the pan and left little for us to "scrape up." Talking about this reminds me of the cheese dip I used to hide from my sister in the back of the refrigerator..ha! We had little money growing up, so any special sort of food was like gold. Those were the days!

Addi on patrol...
After getting caught trying to hijack the neighbors police car; Addi decided it was time to fly. Mom, Dad, Addi and Ethan took a walk today around the neighborhood, the weather was perfect and Mount Rainier was lit up against the sky. The only thing missing from the trip was Big Brother, we sure miss you Blaise.

Working the Ladies
I think Ethan figured out if he made any sort of noise while I was busy taking pictures of everyone, someone would pick him up. Every time I looked around a different person was holding him. I caught him about to pull Shanee's necklace off in the first photo, and he managed to snag pineapple in this second photo with Alisha. He had Alisha wrapped from day one!

Being Naughty
I was able to catch Ethan with the camera as he is about to grab a big chunk of hair (first photo). He is rolling all over the place and tends to roll wherever Addi is located. He then likes to grab whatever is closer to him, whether it be her shirt, her hair or her face. She just smiles and moves to another part of the living room. He is about to start crawling and it is fun to watch him get on all fours and then try to figure out what to do next. I would be willing to bet he will be crawling in the next couple of weeks. This last picture shows his favorite toy at the moment. It is Addi's "pink" cell phone. They have been pretty good about sharing, let me re-phrase, Addi has been real good about sharing, Ethan squeals when you try to take it away from him. Maybe I can use this picture as bribery when he gets older!

Playgroup
Addi had a great time at playgroup this past week, she did not want to get out of the pool! By the way, thanks to Jen for taking Addi to playgroup this week! That was super nice of ya! I have to say this is a pretty nifty kiddie pool! They did not have these sort of pools when I was little...no fair..ha! As I have said before, playgroup has been a life saver for us. Addi has her usual 6 friends she plays with every week and I get to socialize with a group of awesome friends! It is something we look forward to every week! If you are a stay at home Mom, I would definitely recommend a playgroup. By the way, you can find this pool on Amazon!

That's our little star...
This picture captures our little man; you have never met a happier, carefree baby than Ethan Tibbetts. He doesn't keep this smile just for his family (like his big sister), he shares it with anyone and everyone. Today for example, at the eye doctor he took the time to flirt with two 20 something year old receptionists...this is a bad sign for mom and dad.

Those Legs!!!!
I could not resist taking a shot of these gorgeous legs! He would much rather be rolling around all over the place, but I thought I could get a better shot if he was immobilized! He is such a ham, and I think he already knows it..ha!

Under The Weather
I have been under the weather for several days so hopefully today I will be back in the blogging frame of mind. I think the exhaustion finally caught up with me. Ethan, now 6 1/2 months old wants to get up at various times of the night and nurse. So, we have officially started sleep training. Hopefully when he starts sleeping through the night I will feel a little more human!

The 4th of July
OK, So we were supposed to grill out for the 4th with some friends of ours, but I came down with some goofy virus...UGH!!! So we ended up Solo on the 4th. John still grilled out ribs and salmon. I think Addi did taste one of the ribs (I'm a vegetarian so I passed on the taste test), and gave her approval. They smelled great and I think he has finally mastered grilling every possible meat, vegetable and seafood dish. I'm so excited since I love grilled food. Addi and I have been out back playing in the field behind our house. She loves to throw rocks and pick the wildflowers. She would stay outdoors all day long if we would let her.

Pictures, etc..
I was able to catch a semi decent picture of Ethan and Addi having fun. I focused in on her so he is blurred in the background. She likes to get in his face and repeatedly say, "I love you I love you." He gets so tickled and starts laughing, which only reinforces her to continue. It just makes my stomach tingle to watch! Seeing this picture makes me again miss Blaise SOOO much! 45 More days until he comes home!
Ethan is such a Ham! He is getting used to the camera and is not trying to grab for it as much...how nice!

I caught Addi right when she woke up from her nap. She was laying on the floor watching T.V., while I'm standing directly over her. She is getting immune to the camera as well! When I'm finally done with the shots, she always wants to look at her picture!
OK, I think I have decided to start another blog that will include my photography passion and try to save this one for my family. Mainly to keep it personal. I could go on and on everyday about pictures I have taken, shutter speeds I love, the right lighting, etc.., but then my family and friends would wonder what is going on in our lives! So, for those of you that want to follow my photography passion as it grows hopefully into something bigger I will include a link under my favorite blogs. If not tonight, then it will be posted tomorrow night.
