Since I haven't posted Ethan in a while, I thought I would add a picture of him looking snug while watching big brother Blaise play soccer. Yes it is fall here in the Northwest, I know all of my friends and family in the South find this hard to believe since you guys are weathering the 70's & 80's. The leaves are turning and a chill is in the air (for a couple of weeks now). I love this time of the year, it is the start of decorations for Halloween, then thanksgiving, and the grand finale-Christmas.

Love this picture
I love this picture, it says a lot about the relationship between Blaise and Addi. She adores her brother and wants to be by his side wherever we go. He is patient with her for the most part, but sometimes he wants his space and alone time... which he deserves from time to time. This picture also reminds me of the time when we were living in Bellevue, we had just moved here from the South. My Mom was up visiting because Addi was only days old, she would fuss at night right before she fell asleep. Every time she would cry, Blaise would yell from the other room, "It's OK, big brother is right here." We thought that was so sweet, and knew then that he would be a great big brother.

Maris Farms
We went to Maris Farms this weekend and had so much fun. This is our first year to visit this particular pumpkin farm, they had so many activities for Blaise and Addi. We literally had to drag them to the truck when it was time to go. In the above picture, a nice lady was handing out chocolate milk so they paused for a drink and I captured a cute moment.
Addi wanted to get a frog painted on her face... (it is supposed to be a frog but I don't think she sat very still in the initial stages of painting).
This tractor was an instant pull for Addi, she wanted to drive the tractor but could not figure out why it would not move.
Blaise found mud while we were waiting on the hayride. I must say he has come a long way, he used to avoid any mess/dirt, etc.., but now he sort of enjoys it. Good for him!
This is a barn full of corn. There were also tons of rubber ducks hidden in the corn so Blaise and Addi had a blast digging for ducks. Blaise used this portable tractor to scoop up the corn and make piles. He played in the corn for most of our visit. I had to bribe him with the chalk house.
Addi and "Buttercup"
Blaise and "Rose"
Again, Blaise was a great sport b/c Addi was not going to ride the Cow Train by herself so Blaise hopped in to calm Addi and off they went.
I thought the tail on back of the last cow was sort of cute :)
We ended our day at the pumpkin patch with a visit to the chalk house. It is a small barn with walls covered with chalk, a child's dream.

Say Cheese
I had to take a picture of me and the Kiddos for my MOMS Club newsletter so it gave me an excuse to gather everyone up for a semi family picture.. someone had to take the picture. I guess I could have dug my tripod out of the closet, but oh well. Addi and Ethan wanted to look at Blaise, and Blaise was complaining that the sun was too bright. I honestly don't know how we were able to get a semi decent picture.
Then here is the "other," family picture. I guess we could have grabbed a neighbor so that we would have all been in the picture together. When you are trying to round up and organize our family, you don't do a lot of thinking, action is the key word.

Tea for 2
While Blaise and John were playing football, Addi was having a tea party with "Baby Burke," in the field in behind the house. Blaise was very kind to sit down and play along with Addi when she wanted her brother's company. I know it was not the funnest thing for him, but he always tries to be a good sport.
